NAVE'S RECORD EARNS ICCAC HONORS

Ottumwa, IA – Freshman Dymonde Nave (Sioux Falls, SD/Sioux Falls) of the Indian Hills Women's Track & Field team has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week.

Nave became the first Indian Hills female to collect ICCAC honors this year after starring for the Warriors at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational in Iowa City. The freshman hurdler broke the Indian Hills women's 60-meter hurdle school record by 0.07 seconds to set a new program standard.

Nave's time not only set a new school record, but became the leading mark in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) this year. Nave's mark also eclipsed the NJCAA qualifying standard to earn a spot at this year's national championships.

Nave and the Warriors are back on the track January 27 at the Wendy's Pitt State Invitational in Pittsburg, KS.
