IHCC VOLLEYBALL HOLDS STEADY AT NO. 11

Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Volleyball team held steady at No. 11 in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Volleyball rankings, announced Tuesday Monday afternoon. The Warriors are currently 11-1 on the year.

The Warriors picked up two wins last week, a 3-0 sweep of Carl Sandburg College (IL) and a 3-1 win over Southeastern Community College to extend its winning streak to 10 matches. Indian Hills has not lost since a 3-2 defeat to Utah State Eastern College, currently ranked No. 9 in the national standings, on August 20.

The Warriors are currently the third-best hitting team in the nation with a .290 clip and have hit .300 or better in each of the team's last four matches. On the reverse side of the ball, the Warriors rank second nationally with 3.14 blocks per set, slightly behind Odessa College's (TX) 3.30 mark. Sophomore Jarolin de los Santos (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/Luis Munoz Rivera) has led the way with 54 total blocks on the year.

The Warriors will play just its second home match of the season on Wednesday night, a 7:00 PM contest with Marshalltown Community College at the Hellyer Center.
