WARRIORS SLIDE UP TO NO. 15 IN NATIONAL POLL

Ottumwa, IA – After a 2-1 weekend at the inaugural Iowa-Missouri Challenge, the Indian Hills Volleyball team climbed to No. 15 in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Volleyball rankings, announced on Monday.

The Warriors (14-6, 1-1) picked up two wins in Marshalltown, IA over the weekend as teams from Iowa and Missouri battled at the Student Activity Center. The Warriors topped Jefferson College (MO) 3-1 on Friday night before sweeping No. 17 Mineral Area College (MO) on Saturday morning. Indian Hills dropped its final contest of the tournament, a 3-1 decision to Missouri State University-West Plains, ranked No. 8 in this week's national poll.

The two Warrior wins helped Iowa win the first-ever cross-state challenge with a 5-4 overall record. Sophomore Precious Daley (Des Moines, IA/Roosevelt) put together the two highest single-match kill performances with 18 against West Plains and 15 against Jefferson. Anja Vranic's (Belgrade, Serbia/Sports Gymnasium) 24 digs against Jefferson were also the best mark of the tournament.
