NO. 19 WARRIORS PICK UP CONFERENCE SWEEP

Marshalltown, IA – No. 19 Indian Hills Volleyball recorded its second sweep of the season over conference foe Marshalltown Community College on Wednesday night. The Warriors won on the road in straight sets – 25-10, 25-11, and 25-5 to improve to 15-8 on the year.

The Warriors picked up its second Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) victory over the Tigers on Wednesday to remain in second place in league standings.

A season-high 14 individuals saw action on the court for the Warriors in Wednesday's win. Sophomores Brooke Amann (Woodstock, IL/South Dakota State), Precious Daley (Des Moines, IA/Roosevelt), and Jarolin de los Santos (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/Luis Munoz Rivera) led the team with eight kills a piece. As a team, the Warriors boasted its single highest-match hitting percentage of the season with a .516 clip as each of the three sophomores hit .583 or better.

Josi Schachle (Wasilla, AK/Wasilla) served as a spark off the bench for Indian Hills, collecting a season-high seven kills while hitting .600 on the night. Hennesys Lalane (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/Colegio Luis Munox Rivera) managed the offense with a team-high 34 assists to go along with three service aces.

The Warriors look to build off of Wednesday night's win at the upcoming Dennis South Memorial Classic in Council Bluffs, IA on Friday. Indian Hills takes on No. 10 New Mexico Military Institute at 5:00 PM followed by a match with Monroe College (NY) at 7:00 PM.
