Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Melodee Schulte (Kaneohe, HI/Southeastern CC) has been named this week's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Volleyball Athlete of the Week. Schulte and the Warriors went 2-1 last week on the court.
As the team's primary libero, Schulte commanded the defense for the Warriors with a pair of season-high efforts. Schulte totaled 15 digs in a loss to nationally ranked Iowa Western Community College and followed up with 15 more digs in a 3-0 sweep of Kirkwood Community College. Schulte also anchored the defense with seven digs in a 3-0 sweep over DMACC.
Schulte has now totaled double-digit digs in five of the team's last six games, three of which have been 3-0 sweeps for Indian Hills.
Schulte and the Warriors host the team's final regular season match Friday night with a 7:00 PM contest against Highland Community College (KS) at the Hellyer Center.
