VALLEE, VIDAL LAND ICCAC HONORS

Ottumwa, IA – For the fifth consecutive week, the Indian Hills Volleyball team brought home a pair of weekly honors from the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC). Sophomore Jenna Vallee (Pornichet, France/__) as named the ICCAC Offensive Player of the Week while Sasha Vidal (__) collected ICCAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

The Warriors went 4-0 last week behind the strong play of Vallee and Videl. Indian Hills, who has now won 19 matches in a row after Wednesday's victory over Marshalltown Community College, went undefeated at the Blue Dragon Classic in Hutchinson, KS, including a sweep of No. 8 nationally ranked Trinity Valley Community College.

Vallee collected 46 total kills over the weekend to surpass the 500-career kill milestone. The sophomore posted a weekend-best 15 kills in a 3-0 sweep of Butler Community College. Vallee also collected her fifth double-double of the season against Trinity Valley after tallying 12 digs. The outside hitter finished the weekend strong with 15 kills on 29 attempts for a .448 hitting percentage.

Vidal was named the ICCAC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after surpassing the 500-dig plateau for the year. The freshman libero posted 86 total digs throughout the fourth matches, including a career-high 37 in a 3-2 victory over Jefferson College (MO) in the opener.

Vidal has now tallied at least 20 digs in a match 18 separate times this year, including three matches with at least 30. Vidal currently ranks second in the nation with 573 digs this season.
