Ottumwa, IA – A pair of Indian Hills Volleyball standouts have been named Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Volleyball Athletes of the Week. Sophomore Jenna Vallée (Pornichet, France/Lycee Aristide Briand) and freshman Sasha Vidal (Asunción, Paraguay/Trinity School) have earned weekly accolades, announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Vallee and Vidal earn the conference honors together for the second time this season after the pair was recognized on September 27 for their offensive and defensive efforts. Vidal also earned the ICCAC Defensive Athlete of the Week on September 6.

The pair helped lead the Warriors to a pair of 3-0 victories on the road on Friday to improve to 30-2 overall on the year. Indian Hills defeated Parkland College (IL) and Kirkwood Community College in straight sets at the Kirkwood Triangular in Cedar Rapids.

Vallee totaled 27 kills on the week, including 15 against Kirkwood. The sophomore committed just six hitting errors between the two matches for a .368 hitting percentage. Vallee also tallied 11 digs against Parkland for the sophomore's sixth double-double of the season.

Vidal continued to be the defensive lead on the court for the Warriors as the freshman managed 43 total digs between the two matches. Vidal posted 23 digs to go along with four service aces in the finale against Kirkwood.

Vidal currently ranks second nationally with 655 digs on the year.

As a team, the Warriors have now collected 14 total ICCAC Athlete of the Week honors this year.

The duo returns to action Wednesday night in ICCAC action against two-time defending national champions Iowa Western Community College. First serve is set for 7:00 PM in Council Bluffs.
