VALLEE, VIDAL RACK UP MORE HONORS

Ottumwa, IA – For the third time this season, teammates Jenna Vallée (Pornichet, France/Lycee Aristide Briand), and Sasha Vidal (Asunción, Paraguay/Trinity School) have swept the weekly Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Volleyball Player of the Week awards for No. 3 Indian Hills Volleyball.

The duo swept the offensive and defensive weekly honors for the second straight week and third time in the last four weeks after leading No. 3 Indian Hills to a 5-0 week on the court. As a team, the Warriors, who own a 36-2 record, have now claimed at least a share of both the offensive and defensive weekly honors in each of the eight weeks of the regular season this year.

Vallee eclipsed the 300-kill mark last week after totaling 53 kills in just four matches for the Warriors. Vallee posted a season-high 20 kills, just the second time the sophomore has tallied at least 20 kills in a match in her career in a 3-1 victory over Barton Community College (KS) at the Cardinal Classic. Vallee is one of three Warriors to now rank inside the top-15 in the nation in total kills on the year.

Vidal collects her fourth ICCAC Defensive Athlete of the Week honor after another impressive performance for the Warriors. The freshman averaged 20 digs per match in the team's five contests, including 25 against conference foe Iowa Western Community College. Vidal has posted at least 20 digs in nine of the team's last 12 matches and currently leads the nation with 790 total digs on the year.

The Warriors have already secured the NJCAA Region XI regular season championship and the NJCAA Region XIA spot in the upcoming NJCAA Midwest District Tournament. Indian Hills has two regular season contests remaining, a road date at Des Moines Area Community College on October 24 and the home finale against conference opponent Marshalltown Community College at 7:00 PM on October 26.
