WARRIORS HOLD STRONG AT NO. 1

2022-23 NJCAA WOMEN'S WRESTLING RANKINGS (TEAM) - WEEK 2

Centerville, IA – Indian Hills Women's Wrestling remained the top-ranked team in the nation with the release of the second National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Women's Wrestling poll, announced by the NJCAA Women's Wrestling Coaches Association.

The Warriors are off to a 2-0 start on the year with a pair of Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) victories to open the year. Indian Hills defeated North Iowa Area Community College 35-14 and a 25-0 win over then-No. 10 Ellsworth Community College on Nov. 30.

Indian Hills has also produced a pair of strong showings in two open events this year. The Warriors placed nine individuals at both the Waldorf Open on November 12 and the Doane Open on December 3.

Umpqua Commuity College (OR) checks in at No. 2 in this week's national poll followed by No. 3 Iowa Western Community College, No. 4 Southwestern Oregon Community College, and No. 5 Iowa Central Community College. NIACC is ranked No. 7 to give the ICCAC four programs in the top-seven of the national rankings.

Along with the Warriors' No. 1 team rank, the Warriors boast 18 individuals in the top-eight of their respective weight class in the individual national rankings.

The Warriors are back in action Friday afternoon at the Avila Duals for four matchups in Kansas City, MO.
