Ottumwa, IA – One day after earning Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week honors, freshman Alyssa Shannon (Newton, IA/Newton) has been named the National Junior College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week.
Shannon posted a personal best time of 20:31 at the Grand View Invitational to place 15th overall and help the Indian Hills Cross Country women's team place sixth overall at the meet.

Shannon has been the leader of the pack in each of the team's first three events this year.
The Warriors return to action at 9:45 AM on October 8 at the Seminole Valley Stamped in Cedar Rapids, IA.
