WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RANKED NO. 21

2022 USTFCCCA NJCAA DI Cross Country Women's Poll - Week 2

Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Women's Cross Country team checked in at No. 21 in this week's United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) DI Junior College Poll. The Warriors are up two spots from a week ago.

The Warriors are coming off a sixth-place showing at the Grand View Invitational on September 24. The Warriors took home three top-45 finishes in the 83-runner field.

Freshman Alyssa Shannon (Newton, IA/Newton) has paced the Warriors through the team's first three meets this year. Shannon was selected as the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for her efforts at Grand View.

Indian Hills has also used strong performances from sophomores Lizeth Flores (Harvard, IL/Harvard) and Morgan Klaus (Bloomfield, IA/Davis County) throughout the early portions of the year.

The Warriors are set to head to the Seminole Valley Stampede in Cedar Rapids, IA this weekend. Action gets underway at Mount Mercy College at 9:45 AM.
