The Indian Hills Community College Athletic Department has tabbed Freshman Track & Field Athlete MyKedra Craig as December’s Student-Athletes of the Month. This accolade honors student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding commitment in both their respective sport, as well as the classroom.
Craig, a graduate of Rock Island High School in Rock Island, Illinois, got off to a fast start in her first meet at IHCC. She notched times of 8.05-seconds in the 60-meter dash, and 26.85 in the 200-meter dash at the Mel Tjeerdsma Classic hosted by Northwest Missouri State University. Both of those marks currently rank 2nd in school-history. Besides being quick on the track, Craig also gets things done in the classroom, as she finished the fall term with a 3.50 gpa.
