Ottumwa -- Ricky Sanders, the individual medalist at last spring's NJCAA Division I National Championship, signed a National Letter of Intent this week to attend the University of Missouri.

Sanders led the Warriors to a runner-up finish at the national meet.  He was named a Ping second-team All-American, an all-district player and won the Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award.

With the low stroke average for the Warriors for the 2017 spring season (72.0), Sanders won three events, including the national tourney.  This fall, he had an average of 72.9 for 10 rounds with two top-three finishes.

Sanders will be the second IHCC golfer in recent years to go to Missouri.  Former Warrior Trevor Ullestad is a senior on the Tigers squad this year.
