WARRIORS IN 4TH AFTER DAY ONE IN TEXAS

Midland, TX – After the opening day of the TankLogix/Ranchland Hills Invitational at the Ranchland Hills Golf Course, the No. 6 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men's Golf team sits in fourth place overall with a 2-over 562.

Tournament host Midland College, the No. 1 ranked team in the nation, sits in first with a 13-under 547. Odessa College (TX) posted a 3-under followed by New Mexico Junior College's even-par 560. Tuesday's opening round featured 36 holes as the Warriors shot a 3-over 283 in the opening 18 holes before firing a 1-under 279 to close out the day.

The Warriors were led by sophomore Max T. Hartmann (Oslo, Norway/Wang Toppidrett) who posted a 2-under 138 on the day. Hartmann fired a 68 on the opening 18 holes before shooting a 70 in the second round. Hartmann currently sits in a tie for fifth place entering the final day of action.

Ryan Thomas (Launceston, AU/Rowville Secondary High School) sits in a tie for 17th with a 1-over 141 and Mitchell Revie (Queensland, Australia/Robina State) is tied for 29th with a 3-over 143.

The final day of action at the tournament begins Wednesday morning as the Warriors will compete for a shot at a first-place finish in the 13-team field.
