Ottumwa --- Indian Hills basketball fans are invited to meet new head coach Hank Plona at an event next week. The IHCC coach, hired this week to take over at Indian Hills after four years as an assistant at South Plains College in Texas, will make his first official appearance for the Warriors on Wednesday, Apr. 22, at 5 p.m. in Warrior Junction in the Advanced Technology Center on the IHCC Ottumwa campus.

Plona will talk about his plans for the Warrior program and will be available to answer questions from those who attend.

The new head coach was an assistant for the Warriors during the 2010-11 season. He inherits a Warrior team that was 29-5 last season and made the school's 11th national tournament appearance.
