WARRIORS THROTTLE PIRATES TO WIN 10TH STRAIGHT

Ottumwa, IA – No. 6/4 Indian Hills Men's Basketball dominated in all facets of Wednesday night's game to top visiting North Central Missouri College 106-73 at the Hellyer Center. The Warriors extend their winning streak to 10 games with the win.

Indian Hills (24-5) picked up its ninth win of 30 or more points on the year with the rout of the Pirates. The Warriors, who climbed in both the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Rankings and the JUCO Media Poll this week, have outscored their last three opponents by a margin of 33.7 points per game. The 106 points are the second most in a game this year for the Warriors while the team's 61 first half points are the most in any half of a game this year.

The Warriors have continued to receive high-level production from a number of individuals, and Wednesday night's game followed suit. Four Warriors scored in double-digits, the fifth consecutive contest with at least four double-digit scorers as sophomore J'Vonne Hadley (St. Paul, MN/Northeastern) scored a team-high 21 points on a perfect 8-8 night from the floor. Hadley also knocked down all three three-point shots and pulled in five rebounds.

Sophomore Ahren Freeman (Jacksonville, FL/New Orleans) added 15 points on 5-8 shooting to go along with five rebounds and three steals. Adetokunbo Bakare (Newark, NJ/NJIT) recorded his second consecutive double-digit performance with 12 points. Isaiah Marin (Phoenix, AZ/New Mexico) put together a strong showing with 12 points on 5-7 shooting. Freshman Leeroy Odiahi (Tralee, Ireland/George Harris) led the Warriors with a team-high eight rebounds and added five points.

As a team, the Warriors connected on 52.8 percent of their shots, including 40.7 percent (11-27) from three-point range. Indian Hills has hit 34 three-point shots over its last three contests.

A 5-4 lead for the Pirates in the opening minutes of play quickly disappeared as the Warriors ran away from the opposition. Bakare and Hadley connected on back-to-back three-point shots to help push the lead to double-digits. A three-point play from freshman Enoch Kalambay (Gatineau, Canada/Orangeville Prep) pushed the lead to 21. The Warriors eventually broke the 30-point margin late in the first half as the team shot 60 percent overall in the opening 20 minutes of play.

Hadley's damage came primarily in the first half for the Warriors as the sophomore collected 17 points. Bakare and Freeman each added eight in the opening frame as the Warriors continued to roll in the second half to secure the team's 10th consecutive win.

Indian Hills forced 20 Pirate turnovers which led to 22 Warrior points. The Warriors controlled the paint, winning both the rebounding battle 53-42 and points in the paint with a 52-22 edge.

The Warriors wrap up its regular season with one final home contest on Saturday night, a primetime matchup with No. 10 nationally ranked Triton College. Tipoff is set for 7:00 PM at the Hellyer Center.
