LABAEUX'S CAREER NIGHT POWERS WARRIORS

Marshalltown, IA – Backed by a career-night from sophomore Trevion LaBeaux (Waterloo, IA/Ames), the No. 16 Indian Hills Men's Basketball team rolled to an 82-52 victory over Marshalltown Community College in the team's Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) opener.

The Warriors outscored the Tigers 44-22 in the second half to run away with the league victory and improve to 13-4 overall on the year. Indian Hills has now secured 24 consecutive wins over the Tigers and owns a 15-game winning streak at Marshalltown. Each of the Warriors' last four wins vs. the Tigers have been by more than 20 points.

LaBaeux, the Warriors' leading scorer on the year, produced another dominant night on the hardwood. The sophomore poured in 15 points in each half to produce a career-high 30 points in the win. The forward has now tallied four games with at least 20 points this year with the 30 besting his previous career-high of 26 set on Nov. 15. The sophomore upped his season scoring average to 14.5 on the year, third-best in the ICCAC.

LaBaeux was joined in double-figures by freshman Amarion Nimmers (Rock Island, IL/Iowa) who tallied 12 points and sophomore Davontae Hall (Chicago, IL/Hyde Park) who added 10 for the Warriors.

Trailing 17-13 at the first media timeout in the opening half, LaBeaux caught fire for the Warriors, scoring 15 of the team's next 20 points to give Indian Hills a late lead and sent the visiting team into the locker room at halftime with a 38-20 edge. The Warriors carried that momentum over into the second half, building a double-digit lead behind a series of runs, including a 13-0 spurt to put the game out of reach.

Indian Hills' conference slate contests with a road trip to league foe Southeastern Community College Saturday night at 7:00 PM in West Burlington, IA.
