Warriors Make It Two Straight

Lincoln, Illinois -- Indian Hills made it two consecutive wins on its season-opening trip to Illinois, following up a neutral-site victory over Parkland on Saturday with a 4-1 triumph against home-standing Lincoln on Sunday. 

Theodoro Barros di Piero scored two goals and assisted on another and Reshon Phillip had a goal and an assist for the Warriors, who took a 3-1 halftime lead and used Akean Shackleford's fourth goal of the season in the second half for the final margin.

Phillip started the scoring for IHCC, converting a pass from Rodrigo Paredes.  Barros di Piero got the next two scores, the first in the 32nd minute, assisted by Phillip, and an unassisted one 11 minutes later.  Shackleford's goal was the only one in the final half.

Gabriel Ivlev and Ross Dalton shared the goalkeeper duties for IHCC.

Indian Hills starts league play on Friday when the Warriors host Iowa Lakes at the IHCC field at 4:00.
