Indian Hills Suffers First Loss

Indian Hills Soccer Field

Hillsboro, Missouri -- In the same week they got their first-ever national ranking, the No. 5 Indian Hills men's soccer team sustained its first loss of the season, dropping a 4-2 contest on the road at Jefferson College.

The Warriors had won four in a row to open the schedule, but Jefferson handed them the defeat, thanks to a hat trick from the Vikings' Jack Foster.  Akean Shackleford had both of the IHCC goals, each coming in the first half.  But that performance was matched by Foster, whose third goal was the only score of the final half.

Shackleford, the reigning NJCAA national player of the week, upped his goals total to 11 and kept his streak alive.  He has tallied at least one goal in each of the Warriors' matches.

Indian Hills will return home to face Hawkeye CC in a conference matchup this Saturday.
