Warriors Win 4th Straight, Go to 8-1

Rosemount, Minnesota -- The IHCC men's soccer team picked up its 4th straight victory, its second four-game winning streak of the season, with an 8-1 romp past Dakota County Tech on Saturday.  All of the wins in the current streak are conference victories and the Warriors' season record is 8-1.

Leandro Oshiro scored twice in the first half and Theodoro di Piero had three second-half goals for Indian Hills.

Yan Oliveira started the scoring with his first goal of the season, in the 7th minute, assisted by Rodrigo PascualReshon Phillip scored for IHCC seven minutes later on a feed from Kondjo Zebina to make it 2-0.  Oshiro notched the other two opening-half goals, his 2nd and 3rd of the season, with Akean Shackleford assisting on the first and Nathaniel Mederos Fonda and Oliver Hunt credited with assists on the second.

Victor Hugo added to the Indian Hills advantage with the first goal of the 2nd half and then di Piero took over, finding the back of the net for three in a row, giving the freshman 14 goals for the season, two behind team leader Shackleford.  Rodrigo Paredes had an assist on the first of the three goals for di Piero and Wilson Barahona assisted on the next two.  Adding to his big second half di Piero also had an assist.

IHCC goalkeeper Ross Dalton stopped three of four Dakota County shots on goal.

The Warriors have a home match with State Fair CC on Wednesday at the IHCC field.  Their next conference action will be against Northeast (Neb.) at the IHCC field on Saturday.
