Indian Hills Blanks State Fair

Ottumwa -- Goals by Akean Shackleford and Reshon Phillip and shutout goalkeeping by Ross Dalton allowed Indian Hills to defeat State Fair CC, 2-0, at the IHCC field on Wednesday.  The win was the 9th of the season in ten games and the 5th in a row for the Warriors.

Shackleford had the lone goal in the first half, putting a header past SFCC goalkeeper Landon Dove with around three minutes to play until halftime.  Kondjo Zebina got the assist on Shackleford's 17th goal of the fall.  The score stayed that way until Phillip doubled the advantage with a goal assisted by Nathaniel Mederos Fonda and Leandro Oshiro in the 70th minute.  It was Phillip's 6th goal.

IHCC keeper Ross Dalton made only one save in posting the shutout.  The Warriors outshot State Fair, 14-2.   

Indian Hills plays back-to-back games this Friday and Saturday, taking on St. Charles CC and Northeast (Neb.).
