ROBINSON, WAYS GARNER WEEKLY HONORS

Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Track & Field program collected a bevy of weekly honors this week as sophomore Adalin Robinson (Riverdale, MD/Eleanor Roosevelt) and Cyrus Ways (Ponte Vedra, FL/Nease) were honored for their efforts over the weekend.

Ways collected three weekly honors, including two on the national level as the sophomore left his mark at the John McDonnell Invitational in Fayetteville, AR. The sophomore has been named the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Track Athlete of the Week as well as the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week.

Competing in three events, Ways re-wrote the Indian Hills Men's Track & Field record book with a new program-best 110-meter hurdle time of 14.17 at the University of Arkansas. Ways placed sixth overall as the top junior college performer while his mark now ranks No. 10 in the nation this year. Ways followed up with the second-fastest time in the nation in the 400-meter hurdle event with a time of 51.54 to place second overall.

Ways was also a part of the 4x400-meter relay squad that posted the third-fastest time in the nation this year with a mark of 3:08.30. Led by Ways' split of 46.7, the Warriors placed second overall at the meet.

Robinson also starred in Fayetteville as the sophomore collected her third ICCAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week honor this year. Robinson broke her own school record in the women's 400-meter dash for the second consecutive week, posting a time of 53.81. Robinson's time currently ranks second in the nation this year and was good enough for a top-10 finish at Arkansas.

The Warriors return to action this weekend at a series of events. Indian Hills will be in action at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, IA, the Kip Janvrin Open in Indianola, IA, and the LSU Invitational in Baton Rouge, LA.
