Pella, Iowa -- Indian Hills had three of the top ten runners and finished second in the three-team Dutch Invitational on Friday. The Warriors' top seven competitors were in the first 21 places with an average time of 21:16 over the 6K course.
Garrett Hinson led the Warriors with a time of 20:47 and a 4th-place finish. Hinson edged teammate Clayton Grainer by three seconds, Grainger coming in 6th. Another 17 seconds behind Grainger was Zach Hougland with a 10th-place time of 21:07.
IHCC's Cameron Schroeder, Joshua Keller, Cody Denniston and Doug Turner occupied four of the next five spots and were separated by 1:19.
The Warriors will now get ready for the Les Duke Invitational in Grinnell on Sept. 9.
