Rock Island, Illinois -- Running in unseasonably warm conditions the Indian Hills men's cross country team finished 7th out of 22 teams in the Gold Division of the Brissman/Lundeen Invitational on Friday.  The meet, hosted by Augustana College and held at the Saukie Golf Course, was shortened from 8K to four miles with the temperature near 90 degrees at race time.

Garret Hinson paced the Warriors with his 14th place finish overall, running 22:02.9.  Teammate Clayton Grainger was 20th in 22:23.9 and Zach Hougland ran 22:55, good for 34th place.  Next for IHCC was Cameron Schroeder in 45th place in 23:15.1, followed by Cody Denninston in 71st place in 23:54.3.  Joshua Keller was just 10 seconds in back of Denniston, in 77th place with a time of 24:04.2.  There were 217 runners in IHCC's division.

Indian Hills was also 7th in this meet last year, but lowered its points total from 220 in 2016 to 183 this time around.

The Warriors head to Arkansas for the Chili Pepper Invite this Saturday, another large meet hosted by the University of Arkansas.
