NO. 10 WARRIORS TAKE HOME TOP TEAM HONORS

Mason City, IA – No. 10 Indian Hills Men's Cross Country took home the overall team title Friday at the Trent Smith Invitational. The Warriors placed four runners inside the top-six to finish as the top team in Mason City.

Sophomore Nick O'Connor (Tiffin, IA/Clear Creek Amana) paced the Warriors once again the 8k event with a time of 27:13 to place second overall. Teammate Isaac Bryant (Grinnell, IA/Grinnell-Newburg) finished just five seconds behind O'Connor to place third overall for the Warriors.

Brady Millikin (Hedrick, IA/Pekin) clocked in at 27:43 to finish fifth overall at the meet followed by Colten Glosser's (Packwood, IA/Pekin) sixth-place finish with a time of 27:50. Chris Metz (Freeport, IL/Freeport) finished 14th overall with a time of 29:01 to cap the scoring for the Warriors.

The team title is the first of the year for the Warriors, ranked No. 10 in this week's United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll.

The upcoming Indian Hills Invitational, the final regular season competition for the Warriors, is set for Oct. 15 at the Cedar Creek Golf Course.
