EISCHEN NAMED ICCAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Ottumwa, IA – Aidan Eischen (New Sharon, IA/North Mahaska) made a splash in his collegiate debut for the Indian Hills Sports Shooting team to earn Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week honors.

Eischen powered the Warriors in their season opener at the ICCAC East Division Trap Duals in Cedar Rapids on Saturday as the freshman posted a 99/100. Eischen connected on 73 consecutive birds to open the day before closing out with 26 straight hits. Eischen's 99 earned him top overall honors as the Warriors went 1-1 in dual action against Northeast Iowa Community College and Kirkwood Community College.

Eischen's score carried the Warriors to a team score of 473, the program's best performance in two seasons. Indian Hills fell to Northeast Iowa's 481 while topping Kirkwood's score of 421.

Eischen becomes just the second Warrior in program history to earn ICCAC Athlete of the Week honors and the first since Kolton Kopsieker earned the honor in October of 2021.

The Warriors are back in action this weekend with the Simpson Open at the New Pioneer Gun Club in Waukee, IA.
