Ottumwa -- Indian Hills placed 10 players on the ICCAC All-Region softball teams and nearly swept the individual honors as well following the program's 5th consecutive conference postseason and regular season championships.

IHCC had the league's Defensive Player of the Year in Brittni Lloyd, the Pitcher of the Year Alexis Groet, Brooke Snider as the Player of the Year and Lindsay Diehl, in her first season as head coach, was chosen as the Coach of the Year.

First-team All-Region selections were catcher Alexis Westercamp, infielder Brooke Snider, outfielders Macey Harrington and Brittni Lloyd, pitcher Alexis Groet and Designated Player Chloe Olson.  Named to the second team were infielders Jaylie Reints and Vanessa Bakley, pitcher Nina Hendriks and DP Jordan Hollon.

All four sophomores on this year's squad -- Westercamp, Reints, Bakley and Hollon -- earned All-Region honors, while the other six IHCC choices are freshmen.

Westercamp has batted .363 with 11 home runs and 37 RBIs.  She leads the team in games played, having appeared in all but one of the 54 contests, and scored 39 runs while slugging 10 doubles and a triple.

Snider homered three times in the Region XI postseason tourney to boost her season total to 22.  She tops the Warriors with her .423 batting average and also leads the team in at-bats (168), hits (71), RBIs (66), total bases (151) and on-base percentage (.470).  She has 12 doubles, one triple and 54 runs scored.

Harrington has established a new school record with her 23 homers and sports a .382 batting average with a team-best slugging percentage of .904.  She is second on the team with 62 RBIs, has 47 runs, seven doubles and three triples.

Lloyd is tied for 2nd on the IHCC single-season list with her 45 steals.  She has posted a .399 average and leads the Warriors with 55 runs scored and four triples.

Olson has slammed 14 home runs among her 62 hits and is second with a .403 average.  She is tied for 1st in doubles with 16, has driven in 43 runs and scored 44.

Groet's freshman campaign has been a record-setting one with her 273 strikeouts, best in program history.  She won all three games in this weekend's league tourney, not allowing a run in 15 2/3 innings.  The righthander has 10 shutouts and a 2.02 ERA for the year.

Reints has batted .268 with nine homers and 28 RBIs.  She has walked 26 times, which leads the team, and has 37 runs and seven doubles.

Bakley's batting average is .309 and she has two homers, 28 RBIs and 43 hits.  A two-year starter, the infielder has scored 33 times and has 10 doubles.

Hollon is tied for the team lead with her 16 doubles and has hit .294 with a pair of homers and 28 RBIs.  She has 48 hits and 38 runs.

Hendriks came on strong in the second half of the season, lowering her ERA to 3.68 and picking up a total of 11 wins.  She has 19 starts and 13 complete games while pitching 110 1/3 innings.

The Warriors are 38-16 and will carry a 21-game winning streak into this week's District J tournament against Crowder (Mo.).  IHCC will host the best-of-three tourney at Hellyer Field with action starting Friday at 2:00.
