REID EARNS THIRD ICCAC WEEKLY HONOR

Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Sara Reid (Central City, IA/Central City) has been tapped as the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Softball Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season.

Reid, the Indian Hills Community College Hy-Vee Female Student-Athlete of the Month for the month of February, helped lead the Warriors to a road win at Johnson County Community College (KS) in Overland Park, KS on Sunday, snapping the Cavaliers' 10-game win streak. Reid went the distance in the circle, working all seven innings while scattering seven hits for the Warriors. The sophomore struck out three batters as Indian Hills picked up a 5-2 victory.

Reid has now captured three of the first four ICCAC DI Softball Pitcher of the Week honors for the Warriors. The sophomore has jumped out to a strong start the season and has won three consecutive starts to improve to 5-3 on the year. Reid owns a 1.64 earned run average through nine appearances and 59.2 innings of work to go along with 39 strikeouts this year.

The Warriors' road stretch continues with a trip to Seminole State College (OK) on Saturday afternoon for a doubleheader set to get underway at 2:00 PM.
