Ottumwa -- Playing their second overtime game in three days, the Indian Hills Warriors got a goal from freshman Charlyann Pizzarello with just four seconds remaining in the second OT session to defeat Dodge City (Kans.), 2-1, and take home the Wells Fargo Cup trophy on Sunday afternoon.

The Warriors had to settle for a draw with Iowa Lakes on Friday, unable to get the game-winning goal through two overtime periods.  It looked like the Dodge City contest was going to be a replica of the Friday game until Pizzarello netted the goal into the upper corner of the Dodge City net with time running out.

Since Dodge City had beaten Iowa Lakes on Saturday, Indian Hills needed to knock off Dodge City in order to win the tourney and the trophy that went along with it.

Laura Hallissey assisted on Pizzarello's score, the first goal in nearly 50 minutes of action.

Taylor Hiatt scored for IHCC in the 60th minute, tying the game at 1-1, with Ellie Priest credited with an assist on the Hiatt goal.

Begona Rodreguez gave DCCC an early lead with a goal at the 20-minute mark.

IHCC goalkeeper Emily Sands had just two saves in the two-OT match, with her team outshooting the visitors, 42-11.

The Warriors' season record is 2-0-1 and they are back in action next Saturday afternoon against Hawkeye CC at the IHCC field.
