Hallissey, Menephee Lead IHCC Past NIACC

Mason City, Iowa -- Sophomores Laura Hallissey and Brandi Menephee each scored twice and undefeated Indian Hills picked up a conference road victory on Saturday, defeating NIACC, 4-0.

Hallissey opened the scoring in the 9th minute with Allie Schaefer assisting on her goal.  Menephee then tallied an unassisted goal late in the opening half to increase the advantage.  Menephee scored off a feed from Ellie Priest early in the second half, and Hallissey closed out the scoring in the 82nd minute with her second goal, again assisted by Schaefer.

The two sophs lead the Warriors (4-0-1) in goals scored for the season -- Menephee has eight and Hallissey six.

Emily Sands made two saves in goal for the No. 16 Warriors, who outshot NIACC 12-2.

Indian Hills hosts conference rival Iowa Western for the first of two regular-season contests on Wednesday.
