Indian Hills Drops Road Match

Belleville. Illinois -- Southwestern Illinois snapped a 1-all tie on a first-half goal by Erika Lloyd and went on to defeat Indian Hills, 3-1, on Thursday.

The Warriors allowed a quick goal just two minutes into the opening half, then got the equalizer when Laura Hallissey found the back of the net with five minutes elapsed.  It was Hallissey's 8th goal of the season.

Lloyd's score came in the 35th minute and the score stayed 2-1 in favor of SWIC until they got an insurance goal with three minutes to play.

It was a defensive battle with Indian Hills held to just six shots and SWIC five.  IHCC keeper Emily Sands made two saves.

The loss drops the Warriors to 6-2-1.  They return home for their 3rd game in four days on Saturday, a conference matchup with Northeast (Neb.).
