Hallissey Named 1st Women's Soccer All-American

Ottumwa -- Laura Hallissey, a sophomore from Waterford, Ireland, has been selected to the National Junior College Athletic Association All-American teams announced on Monday.  Hallissey, who led Indian Hills in goals with 14 in the 2017 season, was an honorable mention choice on the All-American squad.

Hallissey added five assists to her team-leading 14 goals and earlier was named as a forward on the all-conference first team.  She was also tabbed as the conference co-player of the year for the role she played in leading the Warriors to a a 12-2-3 record.  Her goals total was fifth in the conference and Hallissey's 33 points was also fifth in the league.

Hallissey is the first IHCC women's soccer player named an All-American since the program began back in 2007.
