Hurtado Gets Head Coaching Job

Coach Kevin Hurtado

Ottumwa -- Indian Hills assistant women's soccer coach Kevin Hurtado has resigned to take the head coaching position at Colorado Northwestern Community College in Rangely, Colorado.

Hurtado was Anthony Longo's assistant at IHCC in 2017, a year in which the Warriors narrowly missed out on a trip to the NJCAA national tournament.  Indian Hills lost a shootout to Iowa Western in the ICCAC postseason championship match.  The Warriors were 12-2-3 in Hurtado's lone season on the IHCC staff.

The new head coach at Colorado Northwestern came to Indian Hills prior to the 2017 season after a stint as the girls' varsity soccer coach at Benton High School in Benton, La.  Hurtado also coached at Parkway High School in Bossier City, La., and at Centenary College in Louisiana, where he played on the soccer team.
