Ottumwa -- Ten members of the Indian Hills women's soccer squad were named to the 2019 Fall Academic All-Region team announced by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference this week.  The first-team selections earned grade point averages of 3.5 or higher during the fall while the second-team picks had GPAs between 3.0 and 3.49.

The first-team all-region honorees were Elani Mears, Emily Murphy, Ibeth Rivera, KJ Schmidt, Kinsey Cook, Kiri Chiba, Miranda Kurtt and Sanne Croes.  Named to the second team were Alex Solano and Megan Wick.  It's the second year in a row that Cook, Wick, Kurtt, Murphy and Chiba received academic all-region honors.

Indian Hills had a total of 81 academic all-region members in eight different sports.
