NO. 7 WARRIORS REMAIN UNBEATEN

Ottumwa, IA – No. 7 Indian Hills Women's Soccer used 13 different goal scorers to defeat Black Hawk College (IL) 16-0 in nonconference action at home on Wednesday. The Warriors improve to 12-0-0 on the year.

The Warriors got on the board at the 11:51 mark of the first half on a goal from Risa Ogasawara (Yokohama, Japan/Hinomoto) on an assist from Bailey Wiemann (Burlington, IA/Burlington). The Warriors never looked back as the seventh-ranked team in the nation built a 10-0 lead at halftime and added six more scores in the final frame to remain unbeaten on the year.

Dalen Mueller (Williamsburg, IA/Williamsburg) put together a career game for the Warriors, scoring two goals on the afternoon, one in each half. A pair of Warrior defenders netted their first goals of the season in the win as Abbie Bailey (Redditch, England/Arrowvale) and Kylee Brown (Earlham, IA/Winterset-Earlham) contributed to the victory.

Sophomore Georgie Lewis (Bowral, Australia/Bowral) netted two goals in the second half for her fourth and fifth goals of the season.

Wiemann led the Warriors with three total assists on the day to put the sophomore in sole possession of the top spot in the nation with 14 assists. Wiemann also leads the country with 44 total points. Ogasawara and Dare Kroeten (St. Louis Park, MN/St. Louis Park) each added two assists in the win for the Warriors.

Freshman Trisha Westphal (Lockridge, IA/Fairfield) played all 90 minutes in net for the Warriors to earn her sixth complete shutout of the season.

Indian Hills' homestand wraps up on Saturday with a conference matchup against Iowa Central Community College at 1:00 PM at Schafer Stadium in Ottumwa. 10 sophomores will be recognized prior to the start of the contest.
