NO. 5 WARRIORS' WINNING STREAK SNAPPED

Council Bluffs, IA – The No. 5 Indian Hills Women's Soccer team suffered its first loss of the season, falling 2-0 to No. 8 Iowa Western Community College at the Reiver Sports Complex on Wednesday night. The Warriors fall to 15-1-0 overall and 4-1-0 in Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) play.

The loss snaps a program-record 15-game winning streak for the Warriors. The Reivers avenged an earlier season loss to Indian Hills after the Warriors claimed a 3-1 win on Sept. 25 in Ottumwa.

Iowa Western converted a goal late in the first half, scoring in the 42nd minute before doubling its lead in the 71st minute.

Freshman Sydney Ray Anderson (Elkhart, IA/North Polk) stopped six shots in next for the Warriors. Indian Hills managed just two shots on net in the loss.

The Warriors return to action in Fort Dodge, IA on Oct. 16 to take on Iowa Central.
