WARRIORS STAND TALL IN LOSS TO NO. 1 REIVERS
Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Women's Soccer team put together a valiant effort despite a 2-0 loss to No. 1 Iowa Western Community College on its home pitch on Wednesday afternoon. The Warriors move to 4-4-2 on the year.

The Warriors allowed two goals in the opening 12 minutes of action, but settled down the remainder of the match to blank the Reivers over the final 78:48 of play. Wednesday's match served as the first of two Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) regular season contests between the two clubs.

Indian Hills' freshman keeper María Melendez (Aragua, Venezuela/Aragua Estudiantil) stopped a total of seven shots on the day in the complete game.

The Reivers used a goal in the 9th minute before earning a penalty kick at the 11:12 mark of the first half to double the lead. Despite a sizable margin of shots on the day, the Warriors held their own down the stretch against the defending national champions.

Originally scheduled to play on September 23, the Warriors' match at Triton College (IL) has been cancelled. Next up for Indian Hills is the regular season home finale against North Iowa Area Community College on October 2.
