Win vs. Vincennes Highlights Volleyball Trip to Indiana

Vincennes, Indiana -- No. 6 ranked Indian Hills swept both matches on Saturday in a trip that included a 3-0 win against 20th-rated Vincennes University on its home floor.

The Warriors also disposed of Ancilla 3-0 in running their season record to 12-3 and gained some momentum heading into a busy week when they will play six matches.

Indian Hills knocked off an 11-1 Vincennes team by scores of 25-19, 28-26 and 25-21.  Jessica DaSilva paced the IHCC attack with 18 kills.  Thayna Birimba had nine kills and led Indian Hills with 14 digs.  Yasmin Assis had 35 assists and Camila Nicoletti 10 digs.  Also helping the Warriors' cause were Raegan Moeller and Mackenzie Lauer, who had five and four blocks, respectively.

The Warriors concluded their day with a 25-13, 25-18, 25-19 victory against Ancilla.  There were 41 kills by IHCC, with eight different players getting at least one.  Laisa Telles Maeda took over the setting duties and had 38 assists.  Nicoletti chipped in 18 digs and Cecilia Campos recorded eight total blocks.

With a season record of 12-3 the Warriors embark on a week that will see them play at Kirkwood Tuesday, host Carl Sandburg Wednesday, and go to Hutchinson, Kans. for four matches in two days this weekend.
