Warriors Get 3rd Win vs. Jefferson

VBALL VS. Jeff

Ottumwa -- For the third time this season, the Indian Hills volleyball team defeated Jefferson (Mo.) College, this time sweeping the Vikings in three sets at the Hellyer Center.  All three sets were tight with the Warriors having to come from behind in two of them, winning 25-21, 25-23, 25-20, to get their 19th win of the season.

Indian Hills trailed 11-7 in set one, then took the lead for good at 15-14 and eventually claimed the set.

An early 5-0 advantage in the second set became a 15-6 lead for IHCC before Jefferson rallied to within a single point at 24-23.  A Camila Nicoletti winner finished off the set.  Nicoletti led the Warriors with 12 kills and hit .360 for the night.

Needing a win in the third set to complete the sweep, Indian Hills came from behind to do that after trailing 19-18.

Jessica Da Silva's eight digs paced the Warriors in that category; Laisa Telles Maeda had 31 assists running the offense; and Brooke Johnson-Watkins was responsible for six block assists for IHCC.
