WARRIORS WIN 10TH CONSECUTIVE MATCH

Burlington, IA – A late surge from the Indian Hills Volleyball team carried the Warriors to a 3-1 victory over Southeastern Community College (IA) on Friday night. The win marks 10 consecutive victories for the Warriors to improve to 11-1 on the year.

Now winners of their last 10 matches, the Warriors defeated Southeastern in four sets by scores of 25-17, 23-25, 25-13, 25-19. Indian Hills controlled the final two sets by hitting .500 and .577, respectively, to take down Southeastern.

10 different Warriors saw action on Friday night. Two sophomores stood out in Jenna Vallee (Pornichet, France / Lycee Aristide Briand) and Precious Daley (Des Moines, IA/Roosevelt) who each tallied a team-high 13 kills in the win. Haleigh Hadley (Gilbert, IA/Iowa State) added eight kills with zero errors to aid the victory attack.

Hadley contributed on the defensive front as well with six total blocks on the day. Jarolin de los Santos (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic / Luis Munoz Rivera) proved to be the most effective Warrior at the net with three solo blocks and five block assists in the win.

Hennesys Lalane (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic / Colegio Luis Munox Rivera) totaled 44 assists for the Warriors. Anja Vranic was consistent once again on the defensive front for Indian Hills with a team-high 15 kills

Indian Hills hosts Marshalltown Community College in conference action on Sept. 15 at the Hellyer Center in Ottumwa.
