St. Charles, MO – The No. 3 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men's Golf team opened up its spring campaign with a dominant performance at the Lindenwood Invitational, placing second overall with a 2-over, 854 at the Missouri Bluffs Golf Club.

In its first competition since the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Preview in October, the Warriors placed second among the 13-team field, including No. 5 nationally ranked Hutchinson Community College who placed third overall. Indian Hills was one of just three junior college programs on the course as host Lindenwood University took top honors with a 13-under, 839.

The Warriors were led by the top-ranked individual in the nation in Gaspar Glaudas (Sainte Tulle, Franc/Shattuck St-Mary's) who placed fifth overall in the 36-hole tournament. The sophomore was the top junior college finisher at the tournament, posting a 4-under, 209. Glaudas posted back-to-back rounds of 69 to open before finishing with a third round 71.

Freshman Matias Koropeski (Posadas, Argentina/Instituto Posadas Educa) put together one of his most impressive showings of his collegiate career with a 10th place finish at even par. Koropeski posted a tournament-low round of 70 in the first round and finished the week with a 71-72 for a total of 213.

The Warriors boasted three additional individuals in the top-18 of the field as Jose Carletta (Barquisimeto, Venezuela/Rioclaro) and Max Morgenstern (Ermatingen, Switzerland/Gymnasium Schloss Gaienhofen) tied for 14th overall with a 3-over 216. Morgenstern posted the lowest round for the Warriors with a third-round 68 to climb the leaderboard over the final 18 holes. Emilio Arellano Lamas (Aguascalientes, Mexico/Instituto Universitario Mexico) tied for 17th overall for the Warriors.

Carletta and Morgenstern paced the Warriors with 13 birdies apiece while Glaudas and Jose Miguel Ramirez (Maturin, Venezuela/Alejandro De Humboldt) each tallied an eagle. As a team, the Warriors posted the second-most birdies overall with 47 across the three rounds.

Glaudas, the No. 1 ranked golfer in the latest Scoreboard Powered by Clippd NJCAA rankings, collected his fourth top-five finish of the year and fifth consecutive top-10 finish. Eight of Glaudas' 17 rounds this year have been in the 60's.

Indian Hills will now prepare for the Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational in Indianapolis, IN April 1-2.
