IHCC Women Open Indoor Season

Indoor Season Opener

Pella, Iowa -- There were two first-place finishes and two seconds as the Indian Hills women's track and field squad began its indoor season at the 2017 Dutch Holiday Preview on Saturday.  The meet was held at Central College's Kuyper Fieldhouse.

The firsts were turned in by Peyton Coffin, who established a new school record by winning the 300 meters in 42.89, and by Tyarra English-Paulson, who took the 600 meters in 1:40.84, winning the event by nearly nine seconds.

Second-place finishes came from English-Pauls in the 60 meters (8.02) and Shalandra Schilling, who cleared 5'1" in the high jump.

Other top performances from the IHCC women came from Coffin, 4th in the 60 meter dash (8.24), and English-Paulson, who was 3rd in the 60 meter hurdles (9.56).

Taylor Mitchell ran to a 5th-place showing in the 300 meters (46.83) and Jashira Baylark was 6th in the 60 meter hurdles (10.04).

The next competition for the IHCC women will be the Sol Butler Classic at the University of Dubuque on Jan. 13.
