Coffin, English-Paulson Lead Warrior Women at 91st Kansas Relays

Lawrence, Kansas-- Three members of the women's track and field team were selected to compete in the 91st Kansas Relays hosted by Kansas University. Tyarra English-Paulson was selected in the women's 200m and 400m, while Peyton Coffin made the cut in the 400m. Shalandra Shilling was selected for the women's high jump but was unable to compete.

Coffin and English-Paulson both competed in day two of the meet which consisted of several NJCAA, NCAA DI and NCAA DII schools from across the midwest. English-Paulson toed the line first in the women's 200m prelims. The freshman broke the outdoor school record, running 25.79 in her first 200m race since the NJCAA Indoor National Championships in early March. English-Paulson doubled back in the 400m prelims, running 1:00.75. Peyton Coffin was close behind in 1:01.67. Due to a lane violation, Coffin was disqualified from the event.

The women's track and field team will compete in their final regular season meet Friday, April 27th at the Kip Janvrin Open hosted by Simpson College. The Region XI championships will be hosted the following weekend by Iowa Western at Council Bluffs, Iowa.
