WARRIORS WIN FOUR TITLES, PLACE THIRD

Council Bluffs, IA – The Indian Hills Women's Track & Field collected four National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 11 titles on Saturday to post a third-place team finish in Council Bluffs. The Warriors posted 118 points.

Indian Hills saw individual championship performances from Shanice Cox (Minneapolis, MN/Minneapolis South) in the 100-meter dash, Dymonde Nave (Sioux Falls, SD/Sioux Falls Lincoln) in the 100-meter hurdles, and Adalin Robinson (Riverdale, MD/Eleanor Roosevelt) in the 400-meter dash. In one of the top highlights of the weekend, the women's 4x100-meter relay squad made headlines with the fifth-fastest time in the nation this year to take the top spot on the podium.

In total, the Warriors saw 13 top-five performances at the Region championship, including 10 top-three efforts.

The relay squad of Cox, Nyla Norman (Evansdale, IA/Waterloo East), Destiny Mitchell (Milwaukee, WI/Milwaukee Riverside), and Zekira Snow (Brandon, FL/Bloomingdale) ran to a first-place finish with a time of 46.04, 0.19 seconds ahead of Iowa Western, the current No. 1 ranked relay team in the nation. The victory is the first 4x100m relay championship in women's program history. Both Mitchell and Snow were a part of the women's 4x400-meter relay championship team during the indoor season.

Nave posted a school record in the 100-meter hurdles to run away with the title. Nave posted a time of 14.06 to score 10 team points for the Warriors. In her first competition in the women's 400-meter hurdle event this year, Nave posted a fourth-place finish with a time of 1:08.19.
