Indian Hills Drubs Ellsworth

Baseball vs. ECC

Centerville -- Indian Hills used a 9-run 2nd inning and a 6-run 4th to roll over visiting Ellsworth CC, 15-2, on Monday at Pat Daugherty Field.

Six different Falcons scored two runs and six players knocked in at least two, with freshman Jet Weber picking up three RBIs.  IHCC used 11 hits and seven walks to produce plenty of baserunners and took advantage of the scoring opportunities they were given in their two big innings.

Will Zimmerman, Ryan Humeniuk, Justin King and Declan Buckle had doubles and Jay Hester tripled to spark the Falcons' offense.

Starter Rodny Valdes went 3 2/3 innings for Indian Hills and Corey Jackson got the win in relief, striking out two in 1 1/3 innings of work.

The Falcons will be back in action on their home diamond on Wednesday against Iowa Central CC.
