Athletic Training

The Athletic Training department at Indian Hills Community College is dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care to its student-athletes. Athletes at Indian Hills will have access to state-of-the-art athletic training facilities and first-rate athletic injury care. The Athletic Training facilities are top-of-the-line and are some of the best in the country at the junior college level. Athletes can expect timely and efficient delivery of needed services in the event of an injury sustained while participating in sports here.

With that in mind, our staff consists of 4 full time certified athletic trainers that are on campus daily to respond to the various sports medicine needs of our athletes. An athletic trainer specializes in the evaluation, recognition, care, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention of athletic injuries. Student athletes of Indian Hills Community College also have access to our team orthopedic surgeon along with a large network of physicians specializing in several areas.

Through a combination of medical specialists and the daily commitment of our Athletic Trainers, the sports medicine team at Indian Hills covers a broad entity of healthcare. The goal is to return the athlete back from injury as safely and efficiently as possible, as well as prevent injuries and enhance performance. The Athletic Training and sports medicine team at Indian Hills aspires to provide the most thorough and complete approach in the treatment and care of our athletes resulting in a competitive level of excellence for each individual IHCC student-athlete.
