Falcons Earn All-Academic Team Distinction

Centerville -- The Indian Hills baseball team had a cumulative grade point average of 3.43 during the 2018-19 academic year, earning the Falcons recognition as an All-Academic Team by the NJCAA.  The GPA tied for eighth-best in the nation among all two-year baseball programs.  It's the 12th consecutive year the baseball squad has been honored by the NJCAA with a GPA of better than 3.0.

In addition, IHCC had a total of 14 players earn a spot on one of the three NJCAA All-Academic teams.  The criteria for the teams is: NJCAA All-Academic First Team - 4.00 GPA; Second Team - 3.80-3.99 GPA; Third Team - 3.60-3.79 GPA.

Named to the First Team were Alex Fisher, Dave Janssen and Nick Marshall.  Second Team selections included Brady Nowicki, Daniel Hargrave, Declan Buckle, Garrett Takamatsu, Jet Weber, Nathan Chasey, Wyatt Wendell and Zacharie Allard.  On the Third Team were Cooper Huckabone, Juan Silva and Soren Graversen.

Eight different Indian Hills teams were honored as All-Academic Teams and 32 student-athletes earned a place on one of the three All-Academic teams.
