WARRIORS DROP SERIES FINALE AT IOWA CENTRAL

Fort Dodge, IA – The Indian Hills Baseball team suffered a 6-5 loss to Iowa Central Community College on Monday in the three-game conference series finale with the Tritons. The Warriors fall to 10-7 overall and 3-2 in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC).

After taking the first two games of the series on Sunday, the Warriors erased a 5-0 deficit to tie the game in the sixth, but a late run from the Tritons proved to be the difference maker.

Freshmen Raul Torres (Caguas, Puerto Rico/Leadership Christian Academy), Miguel Salazar (Sentaines, Venezuela/San Luis), and Ciro Benavides (Laredo, TX/Alexander) each collected two hits in the loss. Andrei Gordeev (Balashika, Russia/Global Vision Christian) posted another scoreless appearance, going 2.1 innings of relief work as the bullpen allowed just one earned run over the final 5.1 innings of work. Indian Hills is back in action Wednesday with a doubleheader vs. Ellsworth Community College at Pat Daugherty Field.
