SCHOLL EARNS ICCAC PITCHER OF THE WEEK HONORS

Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Jordan Scholl (Warrenville, IL/Wheaton Warrenville South) of the No. 20 nationally ranked Indian Hills Baseball team tossed a gem on the mound over the weekend to land Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Baseball Pitcher of the Week honors.

Scholl played a key role in the Warriors' 4-0 weekend at the Babe Howard JUCO Classic in Millington, TN over the weekend. Making his first-career start, Scholl tossed six scoreless innings while allowing just two hits to lead the Warriors to a 4-1 victory over Volunteer State Community College (TN).

In the win, Scholl struck out a pair of batters and did not issue a walk. The right-handed hurler faced just 19 batters in the win and needed only 63 pitches to secure the victory.

In two appearances on the year, Scholl has not allowed a run and owns a 0.30 WHIP.

The Warriors are off to an 8-0 start in 2024 and cracked the national rankings on Monday afternoon with the No. 20 spot in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Baseball poll, the program's first appearance in the national rankings since 2018.

Indian Hills returns to action this weekend with a four-game series against Cowley Community College (KS) in Arkansas City. Action gets underway Friday afternoon at 1:00 PM. All four games can be seen live on the Cowley Sports Netowrk.
