HUEBNER, RAMOS SWEEP ICCAC BASEBALL HONORS

Centerville, IA – The Indian Hills Baseball team picked up a pair of Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) DI Baseball Athlete of the Week honors on Tuesday as Cole Huebner (Edmonton, Alberta/Strathcona) and Kevin Ramos (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/Springfield Commonwealth) swept the league's weekly honors.

The duo helped lead the Warriors to three conference wins last week. Huebner picked up a league win on the road to earn ICCAC Pitcher of the Week honors while Ramos starred at the plate to earn the ICCAC Offensive Player of the Week award.

Ramos produced one of the all-time great individual performances in school history for the Warriors, tallying four home runs in a single game to lead Indian Hills to a 9-4 win over Northeast Community College (NE). In the game two win over the Hawks, Ramos went 5-5 at the plate with five RBI and the four home runs. Ramos added a 3-3 performance with a double and a triple in the opener for the Warriors.

On the week, Ramos went 11-16 (.688) with five home runs, 10 RBI, and eight runs scored. Over his last eight games played, Ramos is batting .640 at the plate.

Huebner nabs his second consecutive ICCAC Pitcher of the Week honor, and third this season after picking up a win at Northeast on Saturday. Huebner earned his second-straight victory on the mound after allowing just one earned run in 5.2 innings of work. Huebner struck out five batters while issuing just one walk and scattering four hits for the Warriors.

Huebner has lowered his season earned run average to 3.60 on the year with six starts and 25.0 innings of work.

The Warriors return to action Wednesday afternoon for an ICCAC matchup against Kirkwood Community College. First pitch from Cedar Rapids is set for 2:00 PM.
